Disposition of Animal Projects

Disposition Sheet

All buyers will complete a disposition sheet for each project they purchase. The disposition sheet must be signed by the bidder with complete information regarding disposition of animals, buyer(s) number(s), and purchase price. If no disposition is made, NCJLS will fill out the ticket as they deem necessary.

 

Options for Disposition of Projects

With the exception of the Champions, Buyers can choose from the following options for disposition of the projects:

2011 Grand Champion SwineResale

The buyer chooses to send the projects to a commercial packer and receive a credit on his statement for the resale value (market value) of the project. The resale value of each project is listed on the sales list.

  • Steers
  • Lambs
  • Hogs
  • Goats

Pick-up

The buyer MUST pick their purchases before 9:00 AM on Sunday following the auction.

Donate Animal

Buyers are asked to check with the charity prior to the Sale to verify the charity can accept this type of donation and has the means to transport the animal off the Show grounds on Sunday, January 20th by 9:00 AM.

Donate Resale Value

Buyers may donate the resale value of their purchase to the charity of the buyer’s choice. Buyers MUST designate charity on the disposition section of the bidder’s sheet and sign for verification. Projects eligible for resale value:

  • Steers
  • Lambs
  • Hogs
  • Goats

Poultry

Poultry projects will be sold premium only. Due to poultry diseases, exhibitors cannot deliver poultry dressed or alive to buyers.
